It was in 1973 that Domagoj Croatian Folk Dance ensemble first began to gather, and in the past few years it has grown to well over 100 performers. Domagoj functions under the auspices of the Croatian Catholic Church, "The Nativity of Mary", and has continually exemplified a strong commitment to the preservation of Croatian culture.

Domagoj Edmonton were hosts of the very first Western Canadian Folklore Festival held in 1978, and continue to proudly participate in the annual Western Canadian-Croatian Folklore Festivals.
